I built my first websites at 8 and flash games at 14 and never looked back. I love video games, coding and development and have worked with some amazing clients and people. I've also been heavily involved in esports and have written about the industry extensively.

Enspiral Foundation is a software services company in Welington, New Zealand. It aims to be a leader in social change and tries to ensure strong development of New Zealand's technical scene. I worked for Enspiral's Development Academy and assisted with their Bootcamp while I was there as a teaching assistant. ● Built applications using ECMAScript 6, Standard JS and build systems such as Webpack. Built applications with leading frameworks such as React and libraries such as Redux and Immutable and tested them with testing frameworks like Mocha, Chai and Enzyme.● Wrote standards compliant and accessible HTML/SCSS. Studied interaction design and information architecture from Nielsen Norman Group curriculum.● Collaborated and communicated clearly with multiple people to build applications. Delegated roles and tasks to build applications when assigned as project manager.● Mentored and assisted junior developers on technical challenges and projects.

Paravine was a major league of legends news site that covered esports. During its heyday it obtained over 800,000 viewers per month and was one of the leading sites for Asian esports on the web. The core team was picked up by CBS Interactive to form their League of Legends section for onGamers. During my time at Paravine I: ● Implemented Paravine's architecture using JavaScript, PHP, HTML and CSS to ensure smooth functioning of the site. The core of the site was built on Wordpress and I designed and developed the main theme for the site - which received numerous positive comments from our users.● Implemented tools to help reduce the load of so many concurrent connections on our servers. Implementing tools such as WP Super Cache, minifying/compressing stylesheets and optimizing assets were critical to the stability and function of the site. ● Managed a team of 20 Freelancers and implemented designs and UX/UI strategy to help the content be seen by the greatest amount of people possible. ● Monitored viewer trends and behaviour using Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics and Facebook Insights and successfully drove an increase in viewership using social media.During my time at CBS Interactive I:● Broke significant stories relating to the industry ranging from Riot’s changes to the tournament system to news and roster changes● Managed a team of three staff to do comprehensive news coverage of League of Legends● Monitored viewer trends and behaviour using Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics and Facebook Insights and successfully drove an increase in viewership using social media.
