In my position, I oversaw all aspects of lean six sigma projects from planning, training, coaching, project management to final implementation and financial review. I ensured that project teams followed the PDCA cycle and activities were documented using A3 reporting format. I confirmed that the projects were aligned with strategic goals and focused on delivering value for both internal and external customers. Collaborating with managers and process owners, I ensured that the monthly financial saving goals were met.Some of my project highlights include:* Addressed the issue of interplant shunting between five plants and provided route option and cost reduction proposals to stakeholders. This initiative is expected to produce cost savings of $75k annually.* Conducted reviews of the EOL inspection and assembly line at Centre facility with a mandate to identify opportunities for potential reductions. Initialized a Kaizen event that resulted in a plan to reduce $100k in annual labour cost.* Determined root cause of paint line quality performance issues caused by a change in supplier. I complied and prepared employee engagement, financial, quality, delivery and cost KPIs in monthly reports and submitted them along with monthly Kaizen event results to corporate continuous improvement regional manager. I also prepared quarterly world class manufacturing surveys and reports and submitted them to the regional manager. Due to my expertise as a six sigma black belt and as an industrial engineer, I was also invited to participate in improvement Kaizens at other Lear facilities in North America where I successfully lead bottom-line yielding projects.Some of my project highlights include:* Brainstormed with team to reduce L platform labour cost by redeploying labour on production lines and reducing workstations. Utilized time studies and plant layout analysis to eliminate 4 job stations and produce $400k in savings.* Created a plan to reduce labour usage in the sub-assembly plant. Identified opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste. Leveraged time studies and worked with plant engineering to produce a saving of 3 job stations. * Increased V167 “20%” assembly line throughput by 50% in order to meet high demand cycles. Optimized plant layout and reviewed production processes to achieve this challenging objective.* Slashed energy cost by $50k per year to meet ISO14001 requirements.
