Public health expert for national social justice and civil rights organization representing African-American community interests and integrating health into all organizational programmatic and policy areas. Led the design of a community based initiative to address maternal mortality and morbidity in Central Harlem, New York City.Collected and analyzed qualitative and quantitative maternal and child health data to inform program design and model for implementation.Authored proposal for designed program model for severe maternal morbidity and mortality prevention in Central Harlem and awarded funding for $1.5M, 3-year implementation. Managed staff of 2 team members with strategic direction and performance feedback.Collaborated with evaluation consultant to design program logic model to ensure grounding in evidence and increase likelihood of successful implementation.Presented program development progress to Merck senior staff in small (10-20) group meetings and at professional conferences for large (1,000+) audiences to share design process, design approaches, research findings and updates on program model.
