Nima Kelly joined True Wind Capital in 2021 as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Diversity and Inclusion; her remit includes legal, compliance, human capital, investor relations, and public relations. Prior to joining True Wind Capital, Nima spent 19 years at GoDaddy where she held several leadership roles that contributed to its scale, including Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. Nima shepherded GoDaddy through its evolution from an entrepreneurial start-up to a publicly traded company; through the years she oversaw corporate and regulatory compliance, board governance, mergers & acquisitions, litigation, privacy, intellectual property and internal audit. During her tenure, she built a diverse legal department, 68% of which was comprised of women, and was the proud executive sponsor of GoDaddy's employee resource group, LatinX In Technology. Nima has extensive experience in developing the HR function, and practiced labor and employment law at the outset of her career, which included responsibility for the daily administration and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements with trade unions. Nima earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. from Gettysburg College where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. If she didn't have a day job, Nima would either be the bat boy for the NY Yankees, a stage hand at the Metropolitan Opera, drive a zamboni for the NY Rangers, or work at an animal rescue shelter.
