Nima is a litigation attorney and civil rights advocate. His passions lie at the intersection of the law, technology and history. In his current role with the McGuireWoods Financial Services Litigation & Securities Enforcement team, Nima advises his clients on pre-trial matters and regulatory investigations. Ultimately, Nima’s goal is to ensure that the discovery phase of any litigation or investigation is not only thoroughly defended and robust, especially from an e-discovery perspective, but also as efficient and cost-effective as possible. Prior to joining McGuireWoods in 2021, Nima practiced law overseas for nearly a decade. First as counsel for an international NGO in Haifa, Israel, he later worked on various public law and tech-related projects in the European market—specifically in Cluj, Romania and at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. During these years abroad, Nima gained tremendous insights into emerging areas of the law, and, at the same time, he was fortunate enough to be able to collaborate with and learn from a significant number of young, bright professionals from around the world. ***Nima is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar and the Iranian-American Bar Association (Southeast Chapter). Nima earned his J.D. in 2011 from Campbell University School of Law and his B.A. in 2008 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he double-majored in US History and Peace, War & Defense and minored in Religious Studies.
