As CFO of REMAP, Nimfa is responsible for the financial, legal and risk management operations of the network, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve the network’s assets, mitigate risk and report accurate financial results. Nimfa provides both operational programmatic or systematic support to the organization, reports to the board on all financial aspects of the network and assist the CEO on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, control and process improvement and the securing of new funding.

Nimfa, is responsible for managing all financial functions of the network including financial reporting and analysis, compliance, maintenance of an appropriate system of accounting record and comprehensive set of controls and budget design to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the network’s financials results and ensure that reported outcomes comply with the generally accepted accounting principles for not for profit network as well as the guidelines of the funding agencies. Working closely with REMAP’s 44+ partners and over 100 project leaders and ambassadors, Nimfa identifies and implement best practices in financial reporting, control and compliance.ReMAP’s blueprint, a Product Enablement Value Chain, leverages the strength and synergies from suppliers, manufacturers, researchers and customers that will enable innovative ideas to products faster. This collaborative approach accelerates the commercialization of electronic products manufactured in Canada for the global market. She works with indirect tax teams and site controllers in addressing and managing sales tax (U.S. and Canada) audits, ensuring full cooperation, the adequate provision of information and documents to result in a timely completion with minimum audit exposure. Nimfa manages an automated customer exemption certificate process using Avalara CertCapture and provide periodic analysis and update on potential exposure to higher management and provides support and advice to Celestica sites and other departments on tax-related issues in a timely and accurate manner. Nimfa is also responsible for the SOX compliance of the Indirect Tax department and handles the indirect tax department’s month-end and quarter end process including FX revaluation and forecast.Successfully handled special projects such as Texas Unclaimed property where Celestica was able to recover all unclaimed amounts from the State of Texas, W8/W9 compliance project, and GST leakage.
