The split in the quality system after Nespresso NL disconnected from Nespresso Benelux, was the subject of the research I did to graduate as a food technologist. Next to my research I partially worked within the company. Some things I did are: analysis of the incoming quality-complaints and updating/writing processes.

After my internship at Bunge Loders Croklaan I was asked to work here during the summer months. I set up and gave internal fat-tasting-workshop (sensory evaluation), and I also helped my colleagues in their activities (w.r.t. ISO 22001:2018).

During this internship I did research to the migration of phthalates and/or mineral oil coming from food contact materials during processing, and this had remarkable outcomes as a result. Those outcomes were used in a risk analysis in which a risk assessment matrix was used, and the last step was to come up with measures to prevent the risks. Those results were put together in an advice report to Bunge Loders Croklaan. This research has granted me knowledge about phthalates, mineral oil, risk analysis and measures.
