I am a relationship focused people person who has always enjoyed robust conversations and learning about what makes people tick and what motivates them. Anything with a psychological leaning is of interest to me, I find human interactions and the machinations around this fascinating. Self reflection, empowerment, growth and development are part of my DNA - we can always be learning, improving, and challenging ourselves. Business Development, Account Management and Sales generally have been a primary focus throughout my career. What's critical to me, is genuinely believing in the product or service that you are representing - then building solid, long term relationships and selling with both transparency & authenticity. Business strategy is a big focus of mine. I thrive on the creativity involved with coming up with ideas, brainstorming & documenting these then developing business plans around them. This gives me a real buzz, as does developing something as part of a team that is implemented within a business leading to positive growth and change. I'm a big believer that highly targeted Cold Calling (as opposed to multi-dial Telemarketing!) is an invaluable initial step in achieving quality long term business relationships over time. Having interesting, targeted, robust conversations, and gaining an initial deeper understanding of a business, the key stakeholders and their motivators prior to a face to face meeting is incredibly beneficial. Establishing good rapport, and building relationships based on respect, trust and transparency has never been more important than now. I'm passionate about what I do. So is there really such thing as a 'Work/Life balance'? Or is it all just 'Life'? Outside of 'work' I'm a mother to 2 gorgeous girls, 2 fur baby boys, and recently married again! Quality family time is a priority, as is leading a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise, mindfulness - and the occasional glass of gin or red thrown in!
