I am currently engaged in my Community Service within Mahikeng for the Mahikeng Sub-District, marking a significant milestone as the inaugural Occupational Therapist within this department. My duties encompass a range of responsibilities, both completed and ongoing:1. Formulated the requisite demand plan essential for the Occupational Therapy department.2. Conduct assessments and provide interventions for patients within the Physical Health domain of Occupational Therapy, addressing diagnoses such as strokes, cerebral palsy, hand injuries, arthritis, developmental delays, and cognitive disabilities (including Autism, ADHD, etc.) impacting engagement in various performance areas.3. Conducted/ing in-service training sessions with diverse stakeholders within the department.4. Engagement in administrative tasks, including the development of weekly and monthly plans, documentation of statistics regarding assistive devices, and the preparation of monthly reports detailing services provided.5. Developed tailored home programs catering to different diagnoses.
