I build relationships to leading scientists and KOLs from diverse research fields in life sciences, I focus on academic research initiatives and develop strategic business solutions to drive market expansion in the European territory. My responsibilities include scientific support and identification of research funding opportunities and managing of grant applications to the European Framework programme Horizon 2020/Europe of the European Commission as SME partner in academic and industry-academic consortia.

Barcelona Area, Spain

The "Biomarkers and Nutrimetabolomics" research group of the University Barcelona is lead by Cristina Andrés-Lacueva, PhD, who focusses her research on disease-risk biomarkers, polyphenols in food and their bioavailability in humans. During my postdoctoral stay I supported the group in scientific management. This role included project management, national (La Marató de TV3, MINECO, ISCIII and AGAUR) and international (HORIZON 2020) grant application management, scientific writing, organisation of conferences.

Biocrates Life Sciences is a leading company in targeted metabolomics located in Innsbruck, Austria. My responsibilities include the exploration of new application fields with the aim to establish analytic fee-for-service projects; organization and implementation of customer visits, workshops and seminars at research institutes, hospitals and companies; company presentations in one-on-one meetings at Biotech partnering events; support of business development, project management and marketing; preparation of budget proposal; calculation, negotiation and finalization of project offers.

Barcelona Area, Spain

IRB Barcelona is a world-class research centre devoted to understanding fundamental questions about human health and disease. It was founded in October 2005 by the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) and the University of Barcelona (UB), and is located at the Barcelona Science Park (Parc Científic de Barcelona). During my PhD at the IRB in Barcelona I was participating in a cancer related, interdisciplinary collaboration project with Prof. J. Massagué (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York). I determined several protein-peptide complex structures by multi-dimensional NMR spectroscopy, I carried out mass spectrometry measurements, FMOC-solid phase peptide synthesis and chemical ligations, I cloned, expressed and purified protein domains by LC and HPLC and measured binding affinities by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC). My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
