I have a diverse background that spans from professional sports to my current position as Head of Manufacturing at Ridango. In this role, I oversee multiple departments and am responsible for optimizing manufacturing activities while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, I manage the annual budget, provide regular reports, and collaborate with other departments to drive continuous improvement. Through my leadership, our manufacturing processes become more efficient, resulting in higher quality and value for our customers.My experience in high-level competitions as a professional luge competitor and soccer player taught me how to effectively manage stress, make quick decisions with confidence, and cultivate a "never give up" attitude. This experience has translated well into my current role, where I approach challenges with a hands-on mentality and the conviction that anything can be learned and accomplished.My early career years as a coach in the sports world may not seem directly related to my current position, but the skills I acquired are incredibly relevant. Running a department and coaching a team both require meticulous organization, planning ahead, quick thinking, and the ability to adapt when faced with challenges. Managing people from different backgrounds, with varying skill sets and mindsets, towards a common goal is also a fundamental skill set required in both roles. Strong communication skills, understanding individual strengths and weaknesses, fostering motivation, and promoting a positive work environment are essential in achieving expected results.Outside of my work, sports still hold a significant place in my life. I continue to contribute to the development of women's football in Slovenia in my spare time.
