As HRBP, I led the Customer Organisation function and was responsible for implementing the strategy, which ensured the organisation maximised its potential through its resources, transformation and change.

Working within a matrix structure, reporting to the HRD. Role required leading, designing and supporting multiple projects with varying priorities. Responsible for two roles, the first being Head of HR, which was a UK based role, the other as Global HR Lead for Services, covering all global Thales locations.In Summary:• UK Operational role - Responsible for a business unit, involving 1,200 employees, incorporating a multi-disciplined workforce. Heavily involved with working alongside the management team to support people initiatives, i.e. employee engagement opportunities, redefining structures / roles, grading’s, salaries, aligning these with the short and long term business strategies, ensuring correlation with that of the business. Ensuring right people, right place at the right time, with the ability to adapt and flex with the business growth. Supported the design, implementation and cascade of HR strategies and policies. • Global HR Lead role for Services – Multi-disciplined workforce, consisting of 7,500 employees. Working with the Services Global VP, focus of this role was talent and skills management. Responsible for advising the Global VP on HR strategies to support the current and future demands for skills and developing an organisation that was fit for growth in defined five-year workforce plan.

Worked alongside senior management, embedding HR strategy with that of the business. Provided guidance, support and development ensuring people were business priority. Developed procedures and processes enhancing the business. Managed / designed / implemented all site HR initiatives.

A highly unioned manufacturing business. Supported and worked alongside the managment team. Involved with advising on projects, including implementation of SAP HR System. Implemented team design's through SHL Occupational Testing materials.

Managing business training intranet site, enabling workforce 24/7 access to competency based training, for on-going development.

Travelled extensively through South East Asia and Australia. Whilst in Australia, working within various companies within the HR functions: Philips Electronics, the Government organisation Agency for Forests & Marine Administration also for a recruitment agency, involved with recruiting for the opening ceremony for the Olympic stadium.

Employing approximately 4,000 employees based across 52 sites within Kent, providing direct support to the advisers and to the management team. Duties varied from ad hoc project work, visiting sites throughout the Trust supporting HR Issues as and when they arose.
