For the past four+ years I have helped Rivian grow their Capital Projects and Real Estate department by designing and implementing a program management and governance foundation to allow Rivian to manage a $1billion+/year CapEx program building service centers, retail locations, our charging network, offices and factory projects across North America and Europe. Predominantly, this was done by way of designing and building an in-house custom program management system (FOS-Facilities Operating System) that was used as a conduit to implement strategic governance and business processes. Today, FOS is used to manage schedules, financials, risk and people - amongst other things - for this large, complex and diverse capital program.
