I build, and iterate on, comprehensive PD plans in partnership with district partners. I assist districts with change management and am the point of contact for implementation support. I work to build capacity within districts with the end goal of a self-sustaining implementationI support district partners of varying levels of service delivery with implementations of core, supplemental, and assessment programming including: developing a multi-year, district-wide professional development strategy, advising district leaders on key pedagogical questions and change management considerations, and conducting district-wide program reviews.

As the lead science teacher at DREAM, I am responsible for designing and implementing the Science curriculum for all classes in grades K-5. I manage and develop the 30 science teachers and K-7 curriculum for our network of 14 charter schools across Harlem, Upper West Side, the Bronx and Brooklyn.I design and lead professional development for the science teachers throughout the year, starting with an intensive 3-week summer training. I develop curriculum for K-4 and work with teachers up through 7th grade to develop engaging and challenging lesson plans for their scholars.I observe and provide feedback to teachers on a regular basis. One of my primary goals, in collaboration with school-based leadership teams, is to move teacher practice FAST. I use various techniques from Real Time Coaching to modeling lessons in order to attain this goal.

As staff developer across a network of 9 schools, I:Plan and lead science PD sessions.Lead planning meeting with K-4 science teachers.Manage the development of the K-4 science curriculum.Work with leaders to improve K-6 science teacher practice.As science teacher, I:Teach Science to Grades K-4 at Success Academy Harlem 2. Students have 50 minutes of every day dedicated to Science. I have a classroom where the children come to do hands-on, inquiry-based experiments. Students are constantly encouraged to think like Scientists, be curious and ask questions. We have an in-house developed curriculum, based off of the NY State Science Standards. Students explore everything from animals to aerodynamics.

Taught grades K, 1, 2 and 3 self-contained special education at PS 48 in the Bronx. Taught students that had learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, and mental retardation.
