Nina Greenberg has taught math at the middle school level since 2005. She began teaching in New York City the following year as a Teach for America corps member, in which capacity she joined the faculty at the Bronx School of Science Inquiry and Investigation. While in service at the school, Nina Greenberg founded an after-school enrichment program in integrated algebra as well as a new girls' basketball team.Nina Greenberg also advised incoming Teach for America corps members during the summer training program and mentored a new math teacher. She remained with the Bronx School into 2009, during which time she also received her New York State teacher certification and her master of teaching in secondary math.Nina Greenberg then accepted a position as math teacher and fourth grade team leader at Achievement Preparatory Academy in Washington, DC. She returned to New York City two years later to become a math teacher at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School, where she continues to teach seventh- and eighth-grade math as well as high school algebra. She also has served the school as a mentor teacher, department chair, and team leader.
