I am Founder and President of Ensaras, Inc., where we are bringing the latest in digital and artificial intelligence tools to wastewater plant operators, managers, and owners. Through our AI-as-a-service platform, the Ensaras AI Wastewater Stack, we help wastewater plants to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting across varied data streams, and derive real-time actionable insights powered by AI, saving time and money. We have a focused leadership team with expertise in wastewater treatment, process engineering, resource recovery, data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence that is excited to be making the next generation of wastewater solutions a reality!

I serve as Vice President at Circle H2O LLC. Circle H2O is a knowledge and technology company specializing in water and wastewater and waste-to-energy treatment solutions. Our focus is on resource recovery from wastewater. Our projects include recovery of (1) energy in the form of electricity, heat, renewable natural gas/compressed biogas from high organic content waste streams via anaerobic digestion and (2) reuse quality water from municipal and industrial wastewater streams via membrane bioreactors and zero liquid discharge systems. We also have expertise in conventional wastewater treatment systems and biological nutrient removal systems.

The PLS program serves as a catalyst for a diverse network of leaders brought together to collaborate and create meaningful change in the United States and around the world while learning about leadership through the lens of the presidential experiences of George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and Lyndon B. Johnson and their administrations.

I served as the first Water Director at Moen, the largest residential plumbing fixture manufacturer in North America. As Water Director, I worked to identify connections between the work Moen is doing, and the broader set of discussions and actions taking place around water nationwide. I also helped to develop innovative products and strategies that enhance user experiences with water in the home, while providing additional benefits such as water-efficient and smart water features.

I worked as a process engineer and project manager for UEM's wastewater treatment solutions. As a process engineer, I developed techno-commercial proposals and basic design packages for anaerobic digestion systems, aerobic treatment systems, and membrane bioreactors including unit-sizing, cost-benefit analyses, and itemized costs. As a project manager I marketed and implemented UEM's anaerobic wastewater treatment solutions designed for food processors, municipal wastewater treatment facilities, industries, and livestock operations.

While at ICF International, I developed models for estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from industries that emitted high global warming potential gases, conducted life cycle estimates of GHG emissions from various packaging materials, and developed a protocol for estimating GHG emissions from semiconductor manufacturing. I was also involved in a report for the US EPA to quantify the relationship between water and energy savings, and reviewed submissions to the US EPA to identify alternatives for ozone depleting substances for various end-uses.

For my graduate research, I studied the isolation of native bacterial inclusions and imaged these inclusions in their native state with atomic force microscopy to determine their morphology. This research was part of an overall research program at MIT to study the formation of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) bacterial inclusions, both to advance our understanding of this material from a basic research point of view, and to advance the use of PHB as a biodegradable plastic.

I conducted research involving literature reviews and interviews with academics, policy makers, and business people, to understand the status of solar photovoltaic research in India. My research resulted in a draft of a white paper on the status of solar photovoltaic research in India and its alignment with India's renewable energy policy goals.
