As a Stores Executive Intern, I had the opportunity to grow my leadership skills, as well as work towards my passion of operational improvement. Throughout the 10 week internship, I completed a rotational program, in which I learned and led in all areas of a multi-million dollar Target store. I pinpointed areas of improvement and made actionable plans to drive change. The experience taught me about the importance of fostering relationships in a team setting, in order to build trust to achieve buy-in to organizational goals.

As the Director of Onboarding for Women in Business, I had the opportunity to recruit, interview, and onboard new members to the organization. By conducting a new member meeting, I helped to lay out the standards and inform the newly admitted members of the constitution of Women in Business. Through all of this, I helped to ensure the transition into the organization was as seamless as possible for the new members.

As the Vice President of Conferences for Purdue University’s chapter of Women in Business, I had the opportunity to plan and execute the 10th Annual Monarch Leadership Conference. By recruiting keynote speakers and breakout session leaders, I ensured that the conference represented the values and mission of Purdue Women in Business. In continuation with this, I conducted professional communications with a variety of corporate sponsors to fund and promote the conference.

During my time as a Corporate Relations Associate for Purdue Women in Business, I got the opportunity to create and maintain professional relationships with corporate sponsors. These relationships with our corporate sponsors were crucial, as they help us to fund our annual Monarch Leadership Conference.

As a student affiliate for the Brock-Wilson Center for Women in Management, I had the opportunity to promote and advocate for the BeHer_d initiative, which spreads the word about workplace inequalities and equips both men and women with the tools to help overcome these barriers. I sat on the student board to help make decisions about program direction and promotions.

As the Lead Campus Ambassador, I had the pleasure of advocating for the incredible opportunities that Fortè has to offer through hosting events and information sessions. I also recruited a team of campus ambassadors and helped to oversee all functions of the group.

As a member of the Krannert Mentorship Program, I had the opportunity to work with several newly admitted Krannert students to help ease their transition into the new environment. I served as a contact to these students for career and educational advice and strived to help their transition to college go as smoothly as possible.

During my time in Rome, I gained valuable international business experience while working on Italian business case studies and evaluating operations of local Italian businesses. I fostered my ability to communicate with a wide range of people, by interacting with a new culture. In continuation with this, I learned the importance of intercultural communication and how to work in collaboration with those with a differing background than my own.

As a Business Operations Intern, I worked to drive organizational change through employee engagement initiatives, as well as helped in defining and implementing a distinct organizational culture.
