Leading a team of Recruitment Officers to fill both staff, trades and operator positions for five Coal mines including two Open Cut Coal mines in the Gloucester Basin, Hunter Valley NSW and Donaldson Coals two Underground operations, Abel and Tasman and Donaldson Open Cut pit in the Lower Hunter Valley. Gloucester Coal merged with Donaldson Coal in 2011.In June 2012 Yancoal Australia was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange following its merger with Gloucester Coal Limited. Yancoal Australia Limited is expected to be Australia's largest listed pure-play coal producer.

HR Recruitment Officer working in a team of passionate recruiters given the task of manning up the new operations at Abel and Tasman coal mines. This included all staff; management, engineering, safety, admin, and bulk recruitment of trades and operators. Also experienced in Graduate and Apprentice recruitment campaigns. Abel and Tasman mines are a bord and pillar underground coal operation, which uses continuous miners for first workings and secondary extraction. This two stage process accommodates irregular shaped coal deposits, enables adjustment to extraction for better management of subsidence and maximizes the efficiency of the operation.The mine uses existing surface infrastructure and the Bloomfield Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, rail loader and rail loop for coal processing and loading.In Donaldson Open Cut pit, coal is extracted by conventional truck and shovel haul back methods in an open cut operation. Soil, overburden and coal are removed, then the mine area is progressively backfilled and rehabilitated. Particular attention is paid to minimising coal losses and out-of-seam dilution to maximise the quality of the end product.

I was responsible for the Training & Development of staff completing accredited qualifications. including Certificate II and III in Retail in the Northern NSW region. My responsibilities included on site training and assessing, facilitation of classroom training, associated registrations and paperwork and organising graduation ceremonies.
