Purpose works to synchronise financial management with strategy and culture, to increase an organisation’s social impact and financial viability.My role can be best described as 'Outsourced CFO'. There are two parts to it: ongoing Chief Financial Officer responsibilities to various clients and short-term leadership of the projects.CFO role • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of financial strategy• Deliver accurate, timely and relevant financial reports. Provide commentary that effectively communicates financial results, trends and risks to the Board and Senior Management• Enable good budget management and control in operations• Oversee acquittals with funding bodies• Service auditor's queries• Promote systems improvements that strengthen controls • Increase the financial understanding of the Board• Work collaboratively as a finance business partner.Short-term project leadership• Finance Function reviews• Viability analysis and unit costings• System implementations• Re-design of reporting processes• Finance personnel reviews / capacity assessments• Providing expertise on new programs and structural changes• Executive financial coaching.

The committee was established by NSW divisional councils to enhance member engagement. It represents the interests of CPA Australia members within not-for-profit sector and acts in an advisory capacity to the CPA NSW divisional council.

The discussion group provides an opportunity for participants to network with fellow members, enhance technical and business skills, and exchange ideas in a friendly and relaxed environment. Topics include leadership, personal development, ethics and contemporary issues related to women in business and at their place of work.

Australian and international government funding (grants) application, reporting and acquittal. Reporting to donors, sponsors and commercial partners.• Internal processes and procedures. Recognised for constantly assessing business processes and implementing solutions to improve its operations.

• Management, Board and Audit reporting. Re-designed Board financial reports with accordance to operational functions and funding. Provided the management and Directors the with the highly relevant insight into business performance and various programs.• Budgeting function. Significantly improved budgeting systems to allow contribution from different business functions. This reduced budgeting process from 3 weeks to 4 days.• Risk management. Developed Risk Management Plan with appropriate strategies to mitigate and ensure early identification of company’s risks. Secured approval by the auditors, Finance, Risk and Audit Committee and the Board. • Managed, coached and upskilled the team. Initiated Accounting Internship program to provide work experience to Accounting students. Most interns found a paid job in 3 months after program completion.

Overseeing financial administration; ensuring appropriate accounting, financial and internal control procedures are in place; advising the Board on financial strategy and tax implications of different activities; ensuring compliance with current legislation and internal controls; drawing up the annual budget; reviewing financial reporting, maintaining a watching brief on the monthly accounts for the Board; governance, insurance and risk issues.

• Management reporting. Significantly improved project based reporting for over 50 different cost centres. Created company inefficiency report that facilitated a 30% cut in administration costs.• Investment and assets management. Re-negotiated insurance policy for Heritage listing buildings, saving 15% in insurance cost.• Led implementation of new CRM database – cloud based SalesForce.
