I am a designer.I’ve always been interested in how things work and how they interact in complex systems and with people. I started very early applying reverse engineering to extract knowledge from objects, like any curious kid. Later, as an adult, I broadened my interest to processes and behaviors.It took me some time to funnel my passion: at the beginning, I studied ancient languages and literature, art, history, philosophy, music. I ended up learning about architecture and urban planning and working as a designer.I like dealing with difference in scale, moving from large to small size. This let me appreciate the complexity of needs and the articulation of answers through projects. It also gives me a special energy. In forty years of activity I designed department stores, shops, museums, art galleries, products, businesses and processes.The fundamental thing I learned throughout these experiences is the power of sharing knowledge and experience. I tried to apply this while being a manager in big companies or an entrepreneur in smaller ventures, in industry and in design consulting. Success is the result of knowledge sharing, teamwork and accepting changes.
