During my time at Forte Capital Group, I passed FINRA Series 7 General Securities Examination in order to get a license to trade securities. As a trainee, I provided research on different securities including publicly traded stocks as well as private equity securities and other proprietary products. I identified potential business suspects and qualified new clients. I familiarized myself with industry research, financial and economic trends and immersed myself in the culture of high intensity brokerage firm.

The Federal Reserve Challenge Team performs research on the current state of the U.S. economy and key macroeconomic indicators. The aim of our group was to gather relevant statistics and facts on the recent changes in the United States economy in order to make a convincing and argument-based policy proposal at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston in favor of or against changing the federal funds rate. All the materials were gathered, analyzed and presented by the members of the team. The team put together a presentation describing data and findings in the form of charts, graphs, as well as written materials.

Between January 2016 and December 2016, I was assisting Professor Kirsten Rodine-Hardy in her research on Nanotechnology. Currently, Professor Rodine-Hardy is writing a book based on her extensive research on this subject. I summarized and analyzed academic articles relevant to Professor Rodine-Hardy’s field of study. My responsibilities also included providing feedback on the narrative of the book and assisting in structuring the chapters in a cohesive and organized way.

While working as a Research Analyst Intern at the Department of Macroeconomic Analysis at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in Georgia, I became familiarized with the intricacies of economic research and data analysis. As an intern, I assisted my supervisor in preparing necessary materials in the form of spreadsheets, graphs, charts as well as written reports on different research projects. I was responsible for gathering relevant statistics and materials, in a timely manner, explaining certain changes in different macroeconomic indicators. I was responsible for making graphs and charts, as well as providing written reports on each project. This internship also allowed me to enrich my curiosity and perform independent research. As an independent project, I volunteered to work on Georgian Sovereign Credit Ratings. At the end of the internship, I presented the findings of my research to my supervisor and my colleagues.
