Collaboration in Defence Research and Technology between the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Israel. Formulated a particle-fluid interaction framework comprising of combined discrete element – lattice Boltzmann method (DEM-LBM) to examine the flow physics of Electrorheological (ER) fluids. Applied lubrication theory on particles near contact and mutual dipole model for determining particle electrostatic forces.• Responsible for analysis of turbulence simulations through the development of in-house parallelized lattice Boltzmann solver. Enhanced competence of LBM solver to simulate complex turbulent flow setups in three-dimensions by incorporating entropic multi-relaxation time (EMRT) methodology. Generalized solver for any arbitrary stationary or moving geometry with multi-levels of grid refinement.
