About Nir Samuel Md Phd

I’m a trauma and emergency medicine specialist at Schneider Children’s Medical Center and a lecturer in emergency medicine at Tel Aviv University. I am currently working to establish the first Israeli trauma service dedicated to children. I also provide care in complex and austere pre-hospital settings and teach simulation-based courses in pediatric and adult trauma and in emergency medicine.I graduated from the Hebrew University and its affiliated honors program (MD). I trained in pediatrics (cum laude) and emergency medicine at Rambam Medical Center. At the Weizmann Institute, I studied large neural datasets under anesthesia receiving a PhD.In 2022, I specialized in major trauma at The Alfred Major Trauma Service and the National Trauma Research Institute, Australia’s largest service.I am the emergency department’s research lead and focus on trauma, predictors of life-threatening conditions, and emergency interventions. Projects leverage multi-disciplinary teams and national datasets and presented both in Israel and abroad. Recent works have been published in Anesthesiology, The British Journal of Anesthesia, The Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, Injury, and The American Journal of Emergency Medicine.
