Dr. Nir Tzabar leads CryoR Ltd. as its CEO and Founder, focusing on delivering innovative cryogenic solutions for complex and high-stakes projects that effectively address and solve the most demanding thermal management problems its clients face.Dr. Tzabar's journey in cryogenics began at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems where he led the Cryogenics Team. His pioneering work in developing advanced coolers for infrared detectors established his expertise and set the stage for future innovations in the field, especially on mixed-refrigerant closed-cycle cryocooling.After earning a PhD from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology with a dissertation on "Mixed-Gas Joule-Thomson Sorption Cryocoolers," Dr. Tzabar extended his research during a postdoctoral stint at the University of Twente. Here, he contributed significantly to the Eco-Swing project, which culminated in the launch of the world's first operational superconducting wind turbine in Denmark.Besides leading CryoR, Dr. Tzabar is an active faculty member at Ariel University, heading the Energy Track at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and coordinating the Thermal Energy Science & Technology (TEST) research laboratory.
