Summary: Dr. Niraj Gupta is currently working as a Principal Solutions Consultant , India with Project Argus . Prior to this he was officiating Director of Institute of Technology and Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University(SRMU), Barabanki.Dr. Gupta received his education in Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering and Operation Research from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in a 5 years integrated program. He completed his PhD in supply chain management from Integral University, Lucknow. His research focused on estimating handling time in retail stores in supply chain.He has a rich and unique blend of over 24 years of experience of academics, industry and research . Previously he worked as a faculty at SRMU, SRMCEM, Integral University, IIMT, NIILM. He was a visiting faculty at the All India Management Association, New Delhi and Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. He has also worked at Festo, a German MNC. During his tenure at Festo, he has trained engineers and officials in field of pneumatic & electropneumatic for various reputed companies like TATA Motors, Maruti, SAMTEL, Hero Honda etc. He also worked at Safexpress, New Delhi where he was heading Safe extension cell.He has also received advanced training at IIT Kharagpur & IIT Kanpur in the area of Quality & Supply Chain Management respectively.He has worked in a consultancy project of Crompton Greaves, Premier Automobile Limited (PAL) & Garware Polyester Limited in the area of Productivity, Quality and Integrated Production & Distribution System respectively with Nagarwalla Consultant (P) Ltd., Mumbai . He has also worked in a DST sponsored project, “Technical back up in entrepreneurship development program” at IIT Delhi. He has conducted various short term courses for the teachers and industry practitioners on Supply Chain Management and World Class Manufacturing.His area of research Interest includes: Supply Chain Management, Quality & Operation Management related topics. He has supervised 17 dissertations of M.Tech. students. Also, he had guided 2 PhD scholars in the area of Employability and Knowledge Management. He has published 37 research papers and two book with Lambert Publication on ERP and QFD.
