Leading the initiatives in Varanasi district

As a Child Rights Fellow in H&N division of Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights, I spearheaded efforts to combat malnutrition among children of NCT of Delhi by implementing and enhancing growth monitoring initiatives to facilitate early identification and reporting of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) cases. Through these sustained interventions, growth monitoring coverage increased from 21% to 83% within the first 6 months.Key respinsibilities :a. POSHAN tracker, HMIS data analysis & report formation b. Liaison between the commission and Women and Child Development (WCD) stakeholdersc. Creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to child malnutrition assessment, treatment, and follow-upd. Designing the training modules, need assessmente. Extensive field visits across Delhi to assess the gaps in terms of knowledge, resources and provide actionable insightsf. Assisted the commission in events management

Led the district team and played an active role in all aspects of Government engagement to improve the nutrition status of the district and thus contributing to the bigger vision of a healthy India.Key responsibilities:a. Designing, implementing and monitoring of the convergence action plan at district headquarter to align the national nutrition mission goals and objective across line departmentsb. Extensive field visits across district to understand gaps and reporting the actionable insights to the District Magistrate in monthly review meetingsc. Improving the quality of Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) activities by monitoring fund allocation and designing the IEC materialsd. Leading the capacity building program at district level along with the supportive supervision of the program at block and village levele. Data analysis and reporting of the monthly progress report (MPR) ICDS district data, NFHS survey data and data from the district health department
