The OSU-Ethiopia One Health Partnership is a University wide effort by multiple disciplines to work collaboratively with colleagues in Ethiopia to attain optimal health for humans, animals, and the environment. The OneHealth Partnership has the goal of eliminating rabies in the province of Gondar in northwestern Ethiopia. Teams of veterinarians, doctors, social workers and other medical professionals from OSU and the Universities of Gondar and Addis Ababa have come up with a series of tactics for eliminating the disease. My focus is on building a consolidated business and process plan, including financial costing and sustainability, for how eradication can be accomplished, with the hopes of expansion to Ethiopia as a whole and then all of Africa.
