Tax and Statutory Compliance:Direct Tax (Domestic) Tax planning: Exploring & utilizing tax planning avenues available so as to optimise the tax cost to the organisation.o Annual tax computation/provisioning in accordance with the Income Tax Act, at the end of year and computation of deferred tax.o Managing routine compliance such as Advance tax, ITR filing, Tax audit, coordination with tax auditors.o Preparing and reviewing the income Tax assessment submissions. Liaisoning with external consultants and presenting the case before the assessing authority wherever required. o Examining the applicability of Transfer Pricing and preparing the necessary details. Ensuring and coordinating for internal transfer pricing documentation., working with consultants for TP study, certification & assessment.o Appellate Proceedings / Litigations: Liaising with external consultants and legal advisors for managing litigations at various appellate/ judicial levels. o Obtained Lower Withholding Certificates u/s 197 of The IT, Act.o Manging 26AS Reconciliationso Implementing appropriate control and monitoring structuring to ensure correct and timely deduction of WHT and their reporting as per the statutory timelines. Direct Tax (International)o Advising on structuring of arrangements, ensuring taxes compliance in cross border transaction (in bound / out bound), reviewing the arrangements and advising from PE exposure perspective.o Compliances relating to PE in counties like USA, UK, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri- Lankao Determination of appropriate withholding tax on overseas remittances as per the provision Income Tax Act and DTAA.Indirect Taxo Handling of service tax departmental Audits, CERA Audit, o Managing Monthly/quarterly service tax compliances (computation of service tax payable); filing of service tax return etc.o Guiding team on applicability of Service tax in case of different set of business transaction;
