Wrote the submission for the first two non-oncology molecular diagnostic LCDs (HTAD and hATTR) that were accepted for coverage by MolDx/Medicare (currently in public comment).In plain English: Medical coverage for diagnostics provided for those (mostly) over 65 by the government through is through Medicare and overseen by MolDx (in most jurisdictions). At the time of writing, all genetic testing covered by Medicare is for oncology. I - together with a cross functional team within Invitae - wrote and submitted to MolDx to request coverage for two cardiovascular conditions where the information from genetic testing would improve outcomes for patients. MolDx agreed and has proposed coverage. It is likely to come into effect in 2025/2026. This will likely also impact medical policy at other medical insurance organizations. Once it comes into effect, it will impact thousands or tens of thousands of patients per year who will have access to genetic testing to assist them to make decisions that will avoid often life threatening consequences.

▪ Lead the 12 person AI/ML genetics company from ideation through development, product market fit, go to market, first sales and company acquisition conversations.▪ We developed a software product (utilizing Agile) that rapidly searches genomic data by sequence, leading to a 79% increase in recalling large genetic changes while being 14x faster at genotyping (4 patents issued). The software included applications of AI to increase performance.▪ Negotiated and executed a number of high value commercial agreements including with:○ The world's largest genome program,○ A large biopharmaceutical company and○ A top 3 technology company▪ Y Combinator company, W19.
