I am a Research scientist specializing in medicinal chemistry, especially drug discovery and lead development in the area of antibiotics. My areas of expertise include API synthesis, heterocyclic compounds, carbohydrates, peptide synthesis. I have also worked successfully with private organizations in these areas. In addition, I have demonstrated leadership skills. I currently formally lead a team of 3 and am effectively acting as a full lab manager.At present, involved in the design and synthesis of a new series of inhibitors of the essential Leishmanial enzyme inositol phosphoryl ceramide synthase.
