Designing end-to-end systems for modeling mental state using sensors (smartwatches)In this study, I explored various systems that use physiological features and clues to predict the mental state of user, such as elevated heart rate, HRV, perspiration, breathing rate can signify if the user is in stress, anxious, excited, or depressed. Moreover, using a multi-modal approach with location and smartphone usage patterns, we can also understand user schedule and activating instigating the corresponding mental state. This can help in generating feedback for users, for avoiding certain acting and practicing others to remain healthy.

With increasing demand for wireless services and under-utilization of already allocated spectrum, the concept of Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) is being explored and implemented. DSA allows licensed users (primary users or PUs) to lease or sell their idle unused spectrum bands to multiple unlicensed users (secondary users or SUs). This makes auction design problem for DSA unique and different from traditional auctions.Results -Developed a novel auction based spectrum allocation algorithm, where secondary users place multiple bids for the channels sold by a primary user. -The proposed auction scheme allocates channels to bidders by sorting bidders on the basis of normalized bid prices. The channels are assigned to bidders with maximum normalized price.
