Hardware And System ManagerControlrad Systems Jan 2013 - 2017Managed a multigenerational team of 6 engineers in an ever-changing environment; engineered the first go-to-market product that reduces 70% of x-ray radiation in a cath-lab. ● Applied online collaboration tools and conducted a productive 15 minutes meetings to coordinate assignments; prioritized tasks, reduced ambiguity and minimize internal conflicts; presented flexible and creative task assignments tailored to the team capabilities. ● Designed and implemented image chains containing two Altera Cyclone SOC FPGAs to manipulate hi-resolution x-ray video in real time; embedded a web server user-interface and embedded an SQL server in ARM firmware; partnered with algorithm and software teams.Developed a 3D tracking device working together with one algorithm expert, and worked directly with a major market leader in Europe. ● Engineered a video processor based on TI OMAP-4 and proprietary algorithms to process 2k pixel videos and to define object location in space for distances up to 2.5 meters with an accuracy of 3 mm in a frame rate of 10 per second. ● Utilized a Matlab simulation environment and a Matlab to C++ migration setup on a Linux virtual machine to support the rapid development of algorithms and accelerate code debugging.Managed a junior mechanical engineer, developed and implemented proprietary and patented 4-axis motion system. ● Identified and bridged skill and knowledge gaps, to ensure successful rapid development. ● Developed a four axis stepper motor driver using an Atmel microprocessor designed to meet medical device regulations, wrote C++ firmware and developed a low-level C# class to drive motors in a synchronized way.
