Began at Miditech in 1993.The first project was a series on films on the girl child in Rajashtan for UNICEF. The multi-award winning Living on the Edge for Doordarshan(India National Broadcaster) a tv series , that centre-staged environmental issues across the country followed.Working with my brother Nikhil at Miditech Pvt. Ltd. we did series and shows  that proved to be innovative, intriguing, award winning and critic satisfying. Have scripted, directed and been associated with several international, award winning documentaries like Operation Hot Pursuit(National Geographic Channel) and The Great Descent.
Executive Produced and voiced Inside Mumbai Terror(National Geographic). Also the Executive Producer for the award winning documentary Inside Asia's Largest Prison(National Geographic)Have helped develop and build major programming brands Indian Idol, Galli Galli Sim Sim (Sesame Street), Wheels,Living on the Edge,Survivor India and Guiness World Records(India). Also anchored  travel(Great Escape), automobile(Wheels) and environment (Living on the Edge and Earth Report) shows, on Star Plus, BBC World, Doordarshan/Star Plus and BBC World respectively. Just co-scripted , directed and voiced a 6 part series for Channel News Asia, Indian Tycoons! More recently,anchored and Executive Produced Lakshya a 26 part , comprehensive environment series for Doordarshan in Hindi.Directed 5 short brand focused films on Caterpillar for the web for a big advertising agency . The brief was to use the Caterpillar Back Hoe loader , a digging and carrying machine to bring change in remote areas of Madhya Pradesh . From helping to build toilets, to constructing bathing ghats and sprucing up and creating a playground in a village school , the films and Caterpillar were catalysts to social change .Anchored Miditech's India's Game Changers for Channel News Asia, a 10 part series on Indian Start Ups. Anchored one of 5 episodes , Karnataka Diaries for Nat Geo( Miditech)

Did short feature pieces that combined reportage and editorial from the leading troubled spots in India including Kashmir and Assam. Other television stories done were Indian Attitudes to sex, caste violence, the dangers of the civilian use of the army and the bungled capture of Rajiv Gandhi’s assassin among others. At Eyewitness also did 2 full length documentaries, one on Kashmir, the other on a Day in the Life of a Mig 29 Pilot for Doordarshan

Kicked off as a Trainee Reporter/Scriptwriter with  Press Trust of India(Television). Began career when television was still government controlled in the late 1980s, when Doordarshan(India's State Owned Broadcaster) had just one National Channel. The Press Trust of India(India's leading news wire service) was one of the few outside agencies commissioned by Doordarshan to do documentaries, news stories and short features. At PTI Tv , learned how to report, work on edits and script on the job by making mistakes and learning from them . Worked on documentaries , on the Indian Peace Keeping Force operations in Sri Lanka , business shows and youth series .
