Since April 2022, I have been working at the Ministry of Health in Israel as a Manager of Information Collection and Genomic Monitoring. In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the collection of genomic data from clinical laboratories across the country. My work involves constant communication with laboratory managers in infectious diseases, as well as mapping laboratory codes to international standards such as LOINC and SNOMED, ensuring seamless data flow into the Ministry of Health’s system.In addition to my work with clinical laboratories, I collaborate closely with public health laboratories in Israel, gaining in-depth knowledge of mandatory reporting generators and disease logic models. This has enabled me to contribute to the country’s health data infrastructure and enhance the accuracy of health surveillance.Recently, I began studying Python to improve my ability to communicate with data analysts and perform data analysis on this platform. This complements my previous experience with statistical analysis and my understanding of data-driven decision-making, which I have applied in previous roles.I am passionate about improving healthcare data processes and enhancing the flow of critical health information. I am always looking for ways to leverage technology and data analysis to contribute to public health and decision-making.Previous Work:Before joining the Ministry of Health, I worked as a Consultant in the field of microbiome therapy. I played a key role in establishing the Microbiome Research Center at Shamir (Assaf Harofeh) Medical Center, where I was the Lab Manager.
