Started bachelor's in electrical engineering in 2014. Strong basis in mathematics and physics. Majored in power systems. Since my 3rd year started working part-time as a student tutor. First taught electrical circuits for 3 semesters, then analog electronics and finally vectorial calculus. Research with a project to build a coil and an electronic circuit, which allow to measure high-frequency high-current discharges due to lightning phenomena in the distribution system.Did my internship at a startup energy market consultation company. Worked together with SIEMENS and the TSO of Colombia, in a project to rebuild the market management system. Reshaped the Matlab-based software that was used to calculate the settlements, which were the outputs of long-term simulations of the operation of the market.Stayed in the company one more year as a market consultant. Learned how optimization models work, and managed to build up one to model the economic dispatch of the energy. Was asked for queries, customized reports and technical assistance on our software, by the clients.Operated and boosted three applications. One to calculate the settlements ex-pos, another one to make robust and detailed simulations for the day-ahead market, and another one to make long-term simulations (up to 30 years). From the end of 2019 participated in the migration from Matlab to Python. Developed a software that performed the settlement for short-term simulations. For the long-term application shifted the logic from Matlab to SQL. In the last 6 months I was project leader, developing a fully customized web application for a client, which was the largest natural gas consumer in the country. In their need to optimize their supply and transportation gas contracts, to order it safely to the clients and register them to the gas system operator. Worked hand-in-hand with the client, understanding their needs, how they imagined the new platform and of course, learn from the gas-market.Joined the master's in Smart Systems Integration in september 2020. The master's consisted on a semester in the UK, Norway, Hungary and then the thesis in the Netherlands. Sharing the classroom and living with people from 13 countries across the globe left me with a mind further open, and a will to know more about cultures. I also had to work in group projects, improve my writing skills and adapt to every country, which makes me a flexible person that is not only looking forward to integrate smart solutions, but to also be a more integrate person in my role as an aware citizen.
Listed skills include Matlab, Autocad, Docencia, Natural Leader, and 3 others.
