I am happy to share that I have assumed the charge of Additional Surveyor General, Northern zone, Chandigarh, in Survey of India. My responsibility is now the overall management of all the departmental and non-departmental mapping and surveying operations, pertaining to the areas of Rajasthan, UP, Delhi, Uttrakhand, Panjab, Haryana, Himachal, JK and Ladakh.

To study the documents received by the WGs and send the comments. Proposing a New work item proposal in the TC 211 for preparation/revision of International standards.

I have registered for PhD in the civil engineering Department

After completion of my deputation tenure in NSDI, DST, I have joined Survey of India as Additional Surveyor General, North Eastern zone (current duty) and Director Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh GDC, Shillong. The NE zone cater all geo spatial data requirements of all the seven states of the North East.

Here, as a Director I am assisting the CEO NSDI in all the technical and administrative matters of NSDI. I was involved in preparing Aspirational Document and vision 2020 for NSDI, New map policy and National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy (NDSAP). Now I am involved in developing NSDI content standard for various themes, prototyping National Data Registry (NDR) for National GIS. Now we have started OGC compliant WMS and WFS from the OSM 1:50,000 series maps of Survey of India having ISRO Bhuvan data in the background through NSDI India geo-portal and National Data Portal.

I was assisting the project director in the planning and execution of Delhi State Spatial Data Infrastructure (DSSDI) project of GNCTD Delhi. The turnkey project has been initiated by SOI as a 3D GIS solution for the better management of Delhi and enabling spatial governance. The project includes generation of large-scale base map, in hardcopy, softcopy and electronic transaction forms, and creating land / property information for retrieval of parcel information for decision support system, generation of 3D pictorial data base and allied databases on various services/facilities for various sectors of economy. This is being developed for the services provided by various service/line departments of GNCTD, creation of Delhi State Spatial Data Infrastructure (DSSDI) portal and other applications and its maintenance for a period of 5 years. This project covers the state of National Capital Territory of Delhi in an area of about 1500 sq km. The details of DSSDI activities can be grouped into following four components A, B, C, D. Component A: Establish Control Network, their Monumentation with RFD at least 1 in every sq km , Aero Triangulation, Ortho and DEMComponent B: System Design, Data Modelling, System Integration and OperationsComponent C: Primary Data Capture, Creation of comprehensive LIS and Urban Info System3D Photogrammetry Data Capture & Ground validation & Creation of topographic database, Mapping of Underground and over ground utilities, Mapping of individual property boundaries and identification of ownership. Creation of comprehensive Land Information System (LIS) Component D: Generation of pictorial 3D GIS for entire NCTD Geometric properties (position, shape, size) , Spatial relationships (3D topology) & Semantics (owner, usage etc.) , Physical properties (Color, Texture),

I was managing the data acquisition Wing in capturing digital data through Digital Photogrammetry, remote sensing and GPS in addition to conventional techniques. I also managed the Data Transformation wing as an additional charge and managed the digitization and updation of topo sheets of various scales. I also assist the director on policy matters and general administration of the data center.

Here I was managing the No. 55 Party in addition to No. 56 Party of the North Western Circle, Chandigarh. Responsibilities of the No. 55 party was the creation of digital cartographic database on 1:50K,1:25K scale .The unit has also completed GIS projects, guide maps, strip maps etc. in state of the art digital environment of Micro station and ERDAS IMAGINE. No. 56 party is conventional field party of the department engaged in field woks during field seasons and fair drawing by scribing technique. The unit has also special responsibilities of Indo Pakistan international boundary Surveys.

Promoted to Superintending Surveyor in Dec.1998 and here I managed the No.32 (Photo) Party of the Western Circle Mount Abu, as O.C Party. Responsibilities of the officer in charge were to manage the following technical works, pari-pasu to unit administration and duty of the Estate officer.Aerial Triangulation by I.M.T. method including Planning, Observation and Block adjustment using Wild A-10 and PATM-43 Program. Photogram metric Survey on Stereo Plotter of different makes viz B-8, B-8S, Aviograph AG1, Aviomap AMH, Planicart etc.Rectification work using SEG VI.

Worked as Deputy Superintending Surveyor, Here I Supervised and managed the topographical Surveying field operation during field seasons as camp Officer. I Supervised and managed the Cartographic fair drawing section of the Pune Unit during the remaining period.

Joined SURVEY OF INDIA through the competitive examination “Indian Engineering Services” conducted by Union Public Service Commission in 1990. PROFESSIONAL TRAINING Undergone Professional two years Surveying Engineer Course of the apex Survey Training Institute, Hyderabad, from Survey of India.Passed Intermediate Examination of the Institution of Surveyors of land surveying division in single attempt with 67% Marks.
