My journey started in the lab, where I did my PhD in cancer research. I was driven to find new drug targets for breast cancer, and some of my discoveries were then partnered with major pharmaceutical companies.However, I felt like we weren’t solving the hard problem for cancer patients which was to match them to the right therapy especially in the context of tumours constantly evolving and gaining resistance. I co-founded a company to solve this problem, growing it for over 5 years before it was acquired in 2021.During this time I discovered that I got a lot of energy from helping other great founders build their companies right from day one.I have now been in venture for 3 years leading bio and deeptech investments and doubling down on this at Amino Collective.
