I am a dedicated and skilled cancer biologist with 12 years of experience in cell biology, genetics and immunology and a strong background in confocal microscopy and advanced imaging techniques. I have led and managed multiple research projects, focused on understanding the mechanisms of cancer progression and metastasis by investigating stress induced nuclear relocalization, cell-cell communication in collective cell migration and tumor immunology. Through my research experience, I contributed to 6 manuscripts demonstrating my ability to work independently and to lead projects to completion. -->Technical skillset: I have extensive expertise in molecular, genomics and proteomics approaches including advanced microscopy, RNA-seq, Real time qPCRs, Western Blots, immunoprecipitation assays, protein purification, NGS, cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 editing, STR typing.-->Leadership experience: I possess a rich leadership background showcased in a diverse range of leadership roles with a strong commitment to fostering professional growth, science outreach and scientific engagement. As a first generation college student and a woman of color in STEM, I actively supported initiatives that promote inclusivity in STEM.-->Project management: I am proficient in project management skills including development of research objectives, designing and executing experiments, time management and data analysis. I have successfully managed multiple research projects and contributed to manuscripts generated from these projects in high impact factor journals.-->Mentoring and teaching experience: I have 6 years of experience mentoring undergraduate students in molecular and cellular techniques, navigating their projects and in designing academic presentations. I also have a teaching experience of 6 years leading microbiology and anatomy for primarily pre-medicine track students.-->Collaboration and teamwork: I have contributed to diverse research projects during my career that demanded collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. As a reliable and valuable team member, these projects generated publications demonstrating my ability to successfully finish the research goals to completion. -->Communication: I am proficient in communicating scientific findings with a vast experience of delivering engaging presentations, posters and science communication workshops.I am a curiosity-driven researcher seeking a position where my efforts involve developing solutions to improve patient outcomes.
