Part of the Modeling and Analysis of Complex Systems (MACS) group- Worked with the OECD to create an online platform with interactive feedback to help students learn cause-and-effect relationships - Added code breakdown and analysis to a Scratch-like learning system for teaching physics- Created an analysis platform to help improve the sustainability of Navy boats

- Improved a data pipeline (AWS SageMaker Processing, Lambda, Neptune) for an internal application that studies the effects of device failures on customer reviews and purchases to identify high-priority failures- Created a Business Intelligence service (AWS Lambda, Step Functions, QuickSight) that analyzes device failure + return rates, taking into account devices that are no longer used

At BlueJeans (a Verizon subsidiary), I worked on several key security automation projects. I improved our Jenkins Terraform pipelines to be able to deploy more different types of infrastructure (especially those used by security), thus allowing this cloud infrastructure to be deployed in a more monitored, repeatable way. I wrote several AWS Lambdas that help enforce internal security policies, as well as monitor and display (through CVSS and other metrics) our security posture internally and to clients. I also discovered and fixed many security vulnerabilities, bringing our external SecurityScorecard rating from a B (83) to an A (93).

As the lead organizer for TEDxYouth@LincolnStreet, I coordinated speakers and the event as a whole. I also ran IT for the event, where I created the website, payment platform, email sender, and employee purchase system.

I worked with the City of Hillsboro to design and execute a programming challenge involving Tableau for students at a local high school. I helped the city design the challenge, and I structured the challenge and provided guided code for students to complete the project more effectively. The project is designed to link underrepresented kids to city tech internships, and improved upon a widely used Business Intelligence system for the City that will enhance citywide services. (Cut short due to COVID-19)

As a freelance developer for the Oregon International Air Show, I created a web GIS system for the Air Show planning team, which allows them to quickly map out the placement of booths and planes, set points of interest, map out areas of high traffic (and thus price), print maps for first responders, and more.

At IBM, I mainly worked on creating an analytics platform for sales that tracks the popularity of different Linux Technology Center products on Twitter and GitHub, and gives statistics on the average emotional sentiment of messages (using IBM Watson). I also worked on several other small products for the team, including a web tool that would automatically generate and commit configuration files for client servers, and a script that would synchronize the team wiki with IBM's internal employment database.
