I have spent the first part of my career in building non-core/adjacent business opportunities (in telecom) in the financial services space. This experience ranged from responsibility of strategy processes, business development lead, project management responsibilities and partner/partnership management. In finding and nurturing these opportunities, I had exposure to different markets across Europe and primarily Asia, with product market fit as north star in pursuing business opportunities, both in banked and under-banked segments. Once opportunity was defined, my role from the corporate finance side was to co-create an investment case with partners or as sole investor. On the this basis, I have been part of several M&A projects, often as lead on business case.The desire to move into a more operational and managerial role presented itself through an M&A process, where I took on the role of CFO for a newly acquired business in Asia. In a startup like environment, the pace of innovation and growth, along with all the challenges that normally come in such circumstances presented an amazing learning experience. Building further on this experience, I extended the domain of financial services into ad-tech space, where I held CFO role along with building a business intelligence unit. Currently, I am managing the investment office in Telenor Norway, in the midst of unprecedented levels of investment in infrastructure and transformation.I am a tech savvy person well rounded in the finance field and with managerial experience. I get energized by finding myself in unfamiliar territory, and naturally tend to take lead in progressing a team/project/company.
