-Identify the drivers of material cost in the BU in order to provide analysis to BU Materials team in terms of items that has significant impact in terms of cost-Perform detailed analysis on materials consumption by analyzing incoming materials rejection, in-line RM rejections, rework, customer line rejections and end customer failure-Work out various scenarios from materials consumption analysis to generate idea for improving material consumption and reducing wastage-Carry out… Show more -Identify the drivers of material cost in the BU in order to provide analysis to BU Materials team in terms of items that has significant impact in terms of cost-Perform detailed analysis on materials consumption by analyzing incoming materials rejection, in-line RM rejections, rework, customer line rejections and end customer failure-Work out various scenarios from materials consumption analysis to generate idea for improving material consumption and reducing wastage-Carry out detailed price analysis using prices quoted by Varroc’s suppliers and by other suppliers in the market to establish a benchmark price list.Compare existing contracts in the BU against the benchmark price in order to identify any abnormal price differentials-Perform costing analysis for BOP items and perform clean sheet costing to compare against costs reported in suppliers’ cost sheet in order to identify potential for reducing costs. Perform costing analysis to test feasibility of manufacturing BOP internally and provide recommendations to BU Materials team-Carry out detailed due-diligence to check materials procured by BU against procurement terms and conditions. Identify areas where there is an upside potential by recovering dues from suppliers in event of non-compliance from suppliers’ end (esp. in cases involving customer returns/ rejects)-Analyze quality audit results (including lab testing results) to identify non permissible deviations in materials quality. Estimate cost impact of such deviations & identify the suppliers.
