I. Reporting to Director-R & D while reporting to the board of directors, overseeing all activities of research and development and laboratory testing.II. Resume responsibility for the whole research and development based chemical tastings starting from product concept, preparing prototype samples, laboratory tests, and final approval to invest in the developed product.III. Improving cosmetics product range and keeping the product range up to date with new trends in technology and phasing out obsolete products maintaining national & international standards.IV. Supervising the staff of R & D and QA team.V. Establish product design reviews with the aim of simplifying the manufacturing operations, reducing cost, and possibility of product standardization.VI. Leading the role of ISO 9001:2015QMS, ISO 14001:2015 EMS, ISO 22716 GMP standards and conducting training, internal audits, and coordinating external auditing organizations.VII. Oversee the Product certification and Registration processes with the coordination of the Ayurvedic Department of Sri Lanka, NMRA (National Medicines Regulatory Authority-Sri Lanka) and following local & European standards.Below are the major R&D Projects I handled,1.”Chandanalepa Face wash” cost reduction project was successfully conducted by her with conducting trials with various chemical combinations and comparative chemical analysis to determine the effectiveness and stability.2. “Chandanalepa Herbal Body lotion” new project was handled by her with incorporating a unique herbal extract without deviating the chemical and sensory parameters of the product while remaining stability3.”Chandanalepa Herbal toothpaste” new development project with conducting trials of addition with herbal extract, flavor and essential oil combination into toothpaste formula.4.Herbal tea product range development and chemical and stability analysis project.

I. Conduct Research and Development trials & New Product designing of skin care and hair care cosmetics, (Ex:Creams and lotions, Cleansing products like Soap, shampoo, conditioners, Herbal creams and other herbal cosmetics, Baby products, Pain relieving ayurvedic Oil, balm, spray, etc.)II. Isolate, concentrate and analysis of plant extract material compounds by Soxhlet extraction, TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography), and GC (Gas Chromatography) analysis to determine the effectiveness, safety and quality of herbal products.III. Implementation of laboratory testings of Chemical Analysis (TFM, Thermal Stability, Non-Volatile matter, Water content, peroxide value, Acid value, pH, specific gravity, viscosity).IV. Testing production water and waste water for chemical and microbiological parameters ensuring water quality for the production & other processes.V. Supporting to microbiology Analysis (Aerobic Plate Count, Yeast and Mold Count, Detection of E-Coli, Staphylococcus, Candida, Pseudomonas etc., Staining procedures)VI. Quality Assurance (Ensuring the quality of Raw materials and Finished Products, Maintaining hygienic practices in the manufacturing premises)VII. Establish & Implementation of System Certifications & conducting internal audits & coordinating external audits of maintaining ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015,22716 GMP.VIII. Maintain SAP system, Data analysis, Prepare SOP, Batch preparation guidelines, Quality plans, and quality analysis reports.Below are some of major R &D projects I involved,1. “Chandanalepa Whitening Cream” project was handled by me as a new product development with bleaching free, paraben free consumer friendly cream base, by incorporating a safe whitening active from France called “Sepiwhite MSH “ and herbal extract into a cream base .2.Chandanalepa "PROFF" range which contained more than 30 ayurvedic organic natural proffessional products including Body lotion,shampoo,conditioner,scrubs,face & body massage gels & oils,Scrubs etc
