As a registered patent practitioner with 6+ years of experience in patent law, I work on a diverse range of technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, robotics, neural network, blockchain, database systems, intelligent lighting systems, wearable devices, and fintech applications). I actively engage in developing strategies for prosecution work to overcome patent eligibility rejections. Consequently, I am proficient in patent office guidance and case laws relating to patent-eligible subject matter. I have an interdisciplinary academic background with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a Masters in Aerospace Engineering from University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. My work experience includes 5+ years in software programming, teaching, and working as a quantitative analyst for a fintech firm. I have extensively used C++, C#, Java, R, and Matlab. I am passionate about increasing representation of Women in STEM fields. In the past, I volunteered as an instructor for a Girls Who Code chapter. Currently, I am a volunteer instructor for an organization that advances educational equity by providing individualized tutoring and mentoring programs.
