About Nishat Hamid, M.Ed.
I am committed to understanding the academic challenges faced by individuals and groups. As a resilient fellow minority who has walked the path of a transfer student, I have reflected that acknowledging students of all colors, backgrounds, and socioeconomic status has been proven to be successful. Students of the future need to know that they are supported and not alone when trying to succeed in achieving their higher educational goals in a world where diversity exists, but it often overlooked. I want to be a change agent so I can provide further equity and be a part of the conversation in which we find ways to reform current policies and practices so that more students from a variety of different backgrounds can complete their education, and feel supported on their exciting and nurtured journey towards to success.
