I take patients' blood pressures, help them administer the Esketamine nasal spray, andmonitor them as they are sedated. I've learned how to efficiently document patient progress notes into the EHR database and have greatly improved my interpersonal communication skills through direct patient interactions. I’ve built good rapport with patients and other healthcare providers working at the clinic as well. My additional responsibilities at the clinic include inputting discharge summaries and ADHD evaluations into the EHR database. I have become proficient in using medical documentation platforms and continue to gain invaluable medical knowledge into the pharmacology used to manage mental health conditions like treatment-resistant depression, which includes Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) along with Spravato, as well as their manifestations in patients. I’ve assisted in a number of TMS treatments as well.Pharmaceutical representatives frequent the clinic several times a week and I’ve been able to speak withmany of them. This has allowed me to gain insight into the field, network, directly witness theconversations that take place between prescribers and representatives, and also participate in saidconversations. Although I’ve never worked as a pharmaceutical representative, my time working at ACShas given me a unique insight into the profession that few applicants have. I have a strong foundation forinteracting with various healthcare professionals that, accompanied with my medical knowledge, allowsme to swiftly acclimate to this new field. Show less
