As a part of the senior executive leadership at CACTUS, I play a dual role of heading the Emerging Products Portfolio (Researcher.Life, R.Discovery and Paperpal) and that of a global CTO.

As a part of the senior executive leadership at Cactus, I oversee technology and innovation across all brands and products globally. This includes owing global tech budgeting, outsourcing, cloud and global technology, and product recruitment and being an integral part of the long-term corporate strategy at Cactus and all associated businesses. I am responsible for creating, translating, and mobilizing big-picture vision downstream. In the past couple years, I have set up our Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence vertical called Cactus Labs, for which I also own the budgeting, P&L, and long-term vision. Utilizing Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning, we have managed to achieve excellence in products like automated English editing, translations, concept extraction, document structuring, and summarization. We have also achieved very good breakthroughs with our Image Recognition and Augmented Reality tribes. I have over 17 years of experience, and I am very passionate about technology and love to stay on the bleeding edge of innovation wherever possible. I started my life as a software developer and to date, I continue to be hands on. I have led Software Development, QA, Product Management, and Design teams in the past and have thorough understanding of end-to-end product and technology life cycles. I have worked in the US for a decade and have handled teams in India, US, Bulgaria, Belarus, and the United Kingdom. On a good day, you'll find me reviewing the performance of our new 100M node graph cluster OR negotiating with AWS on letting us deploy a fleet of 30,000 EC2 instances because we just can't wait for machines to get done with their work OR putting out a fight between our TensorFlow and pytorch teams on the topic of "which framework is better" :)

At Editage and Cactus, Nishchay plays the executive leadership role and is responsible for global technology strategy and staffing. He heads Product Management, Software Development and User Experience departments consisting of over 150 experts. He also heads dedicated R&D team consisting of NLP and AI engineers that work on various data science and AI/ML initiatives.

At etouches, I headed the full Software development and infrastructure team which worked on creating and maintaining event management software used by over half a million people daily. I was also a key stakeholder in making product design and prioritization decisions for all major products in the organization. I was part of the senior technology leadership at etouches representing technology and product.
