In my current role, I am on deputation from the Govt. of India. The role involves advising Mission leadership on strategic policing, Law and Order, and drug trafficking issues in Lebanon particularly on Syria and Israel border. I am also tasked to advise the Designated Officials (DO), Security Management Teams (SMT), Agencies Security Focal Points (AFP) and the UN personnel on all aspects of safety and security of UNSMS organizations and their eligible dependents, as well as UN premises, assets and operations. As a part of the assigned role, I provide administrative and logistic support to the mission operations and daily activities. I am also responsible for conducting investigations on criminal offences, pilferage and theft of UN assets. I am now managing special projects of UNDP and UNODC for capacity and skill building. This entails intense consultation with local Lebanese govt. Senior authorities including Interior Minister, Ambassadors of different countries and in turn strengthening relations with the community. Additionally, as a part of the role, I am also involved in developing and organizing the training program for local Police Officers, while being the focal Point for Serious and Organized Crime and Transnational Threats.

I started as Senior Human Resource Officer with responsibility for providing advice and technical support for Human Resource such as interviewing, recommending and appointing as per the requirement policy of UN police in the UNMIS. In Jan 09, I moved on to become the Report and Training Officer. As a part of the role, I was responsible for the collection of operational and security inputs from all sectors of UNMIS, compiling them and producing effective reports relating to the UN Police component, Sudanese Police and the Ministry of Interior. I also assisted Chief Reform & Restructuring Coordinator and Police Commissioner in developing a holistic and well-coordinated strategic overarching plan for the reform and restructuring of the local police and therefore helped in the implementation of the mission mandates and consequently in establishing Rule of Law in the conflict zone of Sudan. The role also entailed planning, designing, developing, delivering and evaluating training programs /modules for the Induction training of Police, Military and Civil staff while applying a holistic approach which incorporates all relevant cross-cutting elements of United Nations Mission in Sudan. On behalf of Chief of Operations and Police Commissioner UNMIS, I was also responsible for collecting Operational and Security inputs from all sectors of UNMIS, compiling them and producing effective reports relating to the UN Police component, Sudanese Police and the Ministry of Interior.
