Collaborate with multi-lateral and regional organizations to address complex health system challenges that transcend geopolitical boundaries and create a positive impact at a population level. Projects include: Adolescent mental health, Global road safety, and Trauma systems in low- and middle-income countries.• Operationalize contract agreements and budgets to build a local city team of 3-4 experts in 12 cities. • Spearhead cross-country teams and oversee completion of time-sensitive project deliverables.• Deliver periodic capacity building and training to 15-50 public health stakeholders per session during field visits.• Engage with government and other global partners at various events to advocate for evidence-based policy implementation and interventions such as two-wheeler helmet strapping and safety. • Co-author project status reports and action plans, literature review, evidence synthesis, conference presentations and panel discussions on various public health issues

Supported global health projects on injuries prevention, monitoring and evaluation activities in low- and middle-income countries. My scope of work included, but not limited to:• Managing project IRB application and assist with drafting standard operation procedure manuals. • Oversee data collection activities in different cities and ensure quality standards according to project protocols.• Contribute to literature reviews on injury prevention, rapid review synthesis, manuscript drafting and conference presentation.• Data cleaning and analysis using statistical software such as STATA and led initial project report drafts.

The center’s work focuses around addressing cardiovascular health disparities through community engagement, scientific investigation, education and policy initiatives. My work involved in supporting the current projects such as cardiovascular health in African Immigrants, African Immigrant Health Study and Share decision making in Hypertension. My specific tasks were to assist with:• Survey design and primary data collection• Quantitative data analysis, literature review and co-author manuscript for scientific journals

• Critical care outcomes study: To assess the distribution of critical care illness in USA and analyze outcomes such as cost of care, length of stay and mortality across hospitals in different states using the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project database• Quality improvement project: CUSP-4-MVP Project. Using the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program to improve care for the Mechanically Ventilated Patients in Saudi Arabia ICUs. The project measured the compliance with care bundles and overall Ventilator Associated Events outcomes. • South Asia Burns Registry: A pilot study to address the gaps in pre-hospital management of burns and develop a facility-based burns registry for resource-constrained setting and improve the quality of burns care and patient outcomes• mHealth for rural Maternal and Child Health – ePartogram decision support tool to improve labor management at district hospitals in Kenya. My role involved in demonstrating expertise in data review, extraction and interpretation. • Antibiotic stewardship practicum: Pre-post analysis to decrease the rate of treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria in patients being admitted from the emergency department to the medicine floor

• Managed an average of 4-5 critically ill patients per 12 hour shifts by providing comprehensive care including dynamic treatment plans and continuous hemodynamic monitoring. • Performed invasive procedures like Endotracheal intubation, Central Venous/Arterial/Dialysis. catheterizations, and life support equipment such as non-invasive and invasive ventilator management• Provided swift responses to emergencies, led emergency response teams that provided a rapid assessment of situation, initial stabilization and escalation of care as needed. • Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams consisting of consultants, nursing staff, physical therapists and lab technicians to improve care delivery using protocols and checklists.• Achieved patient and families satisfaction through daily interactions and providing updates on illness progress and treatment plans and addressing concerns in an empathetic manner.• Facilitated small group discussions among 7-8 team members weekly discussing case-based learning activities, clinical reasoning using evidence-based medicine, and bedside procedural training for junior members.

• Provided care to an average of 30-40 patients per shift through comprehensive medical evaluation and specialist care referral as appropriate.• Managed chronic medical conditions and preventive care needs including medication management, lifestyle modification and counselling.• Conducted rapid assessment and diagnostic evaluations for patients presenting with acute illness and escalation of care.• Participated in continuous medical education, conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• First on-call to attend all new patients and discuss with senior consultants on management plans after making an initial assessment of patient condition through comprehensive medical history and physical examination. • Daily pre- and exit rounds to ensure all patient care plans are effectively implemented and updated with senior consultants.• Maintained a good rapport with patients and families while providing regular updates and addressing concerns in an empathetic manner.

• Rotated through Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Emergency care to enhance knowledge and clinical skills for managing patients with diverse illnesses and conditions.• Participated in major rounds and demonstrated clinical knowledge during case discussions, followed up daily on average 80-85 patient management plans including investigation reports and appropriate specialist referrals.• Assisted senior doctors and residents in performing a wide range of bedside procedures, basic surgeries in the operating room and newborn deliveries under supervision.
