VNV Educate is a design academy that introduces children, adults and professionals to various micro-fields in design in the form of short 8 hour courses, run once or twice a week, an hour per class. These bite-sized introductions give a brief and thorough understanding of what designers of these micro-fields entail in the professional world. The aim is to introduce candidates to awareness of unique, exotic yet very much required work streams beyond mainstreams of engineering, medicine, commerce and arts. Our overall aim is to bring India’s creativity, critical thinking and design thinking to pioneer International levels.

PrintWithin is a 24/7 3D printing and design consultancy service. My role involves leading design consultancy, customer acquisition and experience strategy. In addition, I share with the founder, the role of an additive manufacturing specialist.

Founded in early 2014, Urban Systems Laboratories is a Non-Profit Public Benefit organization assisting key governments in participating in the conceptualization, development and acquisition of innovative public infrastructure technology. My contributions here include; Organization system development, illustrating system operations and functions, analyzing market space and seeking collaborative opportunities, devising marketing and business strategies

During my 8-month stint at the CARLAB, I gained valuable experience in vehicle market volume and competitor research. My contributions mostly involve converting statistical and analytical data into systematic diagrams and infographics in order to showcase both detailed and big picture views simultaenously while being easy to understand. I also gained a considerably deep understanding in vehicle product planning, demographic and ethnographic research. My key role in automotive clinics is to manage audio-visual setup and operation during focus groups in order to best capture user data (a day in the life of…, their prefrences, habits, behaviors, choices etc.) including demographic and ethnographic information as required by the clients. I have successfully contributed towards the completion of 16 such focus groups so far. I have had the opportunity to work with manufacturers like Acura, Subaru, Karma Automotive (Previously Fisker Automotive), Mahindra, Nissan, Toyota, AAA , Honda and CalWater in the area of data analysis and visualization, market trends analysis and forecasting, competition and volume compilations and vehicle performance data categorization.

Assisting new and fellow students in getting acclimatized to Art Center lifestyle and continuously being available for any need of help required by them. Here I learnt to gauge and interact with students with various levels of experiences, intriguingly different characters and behaviors. This helped me understand how to effectively communicate with them while guiding and delivering to their expectations from orientation. This fulfilling experience advanced my sense of hospitality and character perception.

From February 2010 to November 2011, I worked with Godrej Interio, the furniture division of Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Ltd. as a Furniture Designer. I have been involved in conceptualizing open plan office systems (OPOS), desk- based systems, accessories that optimize and maximize desk usage space, luxurious one time furniture pieces, furniture for Indian homes, scrap wood furniture and seating for office spaces. My main project of Focus was Bathroom Storage Furniture for the Indian Household.Here I worked hand in hand with the engineering and prototyping teams which have helped me in understanding how concepts are brought to life.

Worked as an apprentice to the Lead paint and assembly engineer in the Automotive Components Division. Here I learnt about differentiating between color brightness and shades, surface treatment prior to painting, equipment use and technologies such as chemical baths, using a blow torch, spray gun etc. along with understanding the working of Painting robots. I also gained an in-depth understanding into Spray Painting, Vehicle/Part preparation prior to painting, understanding about layered paining and corrosion avoidance.
