Quality Assurance and Inspection

Final acceptance test of Power transformers and reactors of 765kV Class, Gas Insulated Sub-stations of 800kV, Insulator hardware fittings, transmission line components, Relay protection panels, Sub-station automation system and other allied products of sub-station and transmission lines.Have exposure to routine and type test of auto and 2 winding Transformers and reactors upto and including 765kV, 765kV GIS, upto 765kV RIP and OIP bushings and various other components like transformer oil, CTC/PICC etc, PCB, densified wood, CRGO.Work also includes pre-repair inspection, post failure RCA of transformers.Inspection is carried out the manufacturer end before dispatch of product for domestic and overseas suppliers.Final and in-process quality checks of the products being procured from various suppliers and vendors under Regional Inspection Office, Mumbai.Process audit and factory assessment for continual improvement of vendor and ensuring high level of quality and achieving the requirements as laid down in the Technical specifications of POWERGRID.

Final acceptance test of Power transformers, reactors, Gas Insulated Sub-stations, Insulator hardware fittings, transmission line components, Relay protection panels, Sub-station automation system and other allied products of sub-station and transmission lines.Final and in-process quality checks of the products being procured from various suppliers and vendors in and around Mumbai region.Process audit and factory assessment for continual improvement of vendor and ensuring high level of quality and achieving the requirements as laid down in the Technical specifications of POWERGRID.

1) Project Management - Erection, Testing & Commissioning of EHV/UHV sub-stations up to and including 765kV AC.2) Co-ordination of project work with Quality, Engineering & Supply chain dept. for on schedule completion of projects.3) Planning & Scheduling of project activities at execution level.4) Planning, Scheduling and performing preventive maintenance activities of Transformers, Reactors, Current Transformer, CVT, LA, Circuit Breaker etc.5) Testing & Commissioning of power system protection systems - Activity involves onsite testing of CT, CVT, LA, Isolators (disconnectors), Circuit Breakers, Transformer and Reactors. Protection system i.e. protection schemes for lines, transformer and reactors including PLCC.6) On time Restoration of transmission elements & lines at station level by co-ordinating with regional and national load dispatch centre. There by achieving reduced the down time and prevention of cascaded tripping and grid collapse.

** Design of reactors & transformers of EHV/UHV class up to & including 500kV class and preparation of competitive & cost effective estimation for projects, industries, SEBs & utility competitive biddings like PGCIL, NTPC, DVC, NHPC etc.** Designing, modeling & simulation of thermal, dielectric, electromagnetic & mechanical designs of transformers of EHV/UHV class up to 500kV and delivering optimized designs by value engineering. ** Design & review of transformers/reactors with customer and interdepartmental co-ordination for achieving ZERO test bed failures of all work orders. ** Design, calculation, estimation, material ordering & preparation and release of electrical specifications for manufacturing of transformers (3-phase & 1-phase) and reactors up to an including 500kV class.The experience is enriched with the concepts of design & manufacturing practices of transformers/reactors and have vast exposure to various failure analysis & insight of up coming trends in EHV/UHV power transformers/Reactors.
